Award-winning author and essayist

AWARDS

February 2021: I'm honored to announce that my essay,
The Law of Simultaneous Contrast,
has been awarded Winner / Nonfiction in the Tucson Festival of Books.
Prizes include a scholarship to a writing workshop, and $1,000.
Judge Tom Zoellner says this about the essay:

This story about a family secret and the careful ellisions necessary to avoid a confrontation is wrapped around a description of color theory. The conventional structure builds to some grammatical risks and an emotionally powerful conclusion.
